Before embarking on a web project, it’s natural to see the sort of work we’ve done before. Our most recent work over the last few months for new and site upgrades is shown below. There’s a wide variety of types shown, from new or rebuilt sites, add-on blogs and eCommerce. Some are done entirely from scratch, others starting with pre-built design themes from the gurus at Studiopress in the US utilising the Genesis framework. Using these toolsets saves both time and costs, as well as ensuring a more robust and super-flexible site that’s easy to upgrade later.
eCommerce – We’re also approved developer-resellers for BigCommerce now widely regard as the best on the planet for serious users. But for small and home business shops we recommend Store front themes. Each of these toolsets fast-tracks the development of stunning sites that get found online.
Uniquely You
Themes and templates can save heaps of time and expense, but can water down the branding and design needs.
A custom design is often best, showing off your unique look and brand. Here, we partner with skilled graphic designers in NZ (not outsourcing to India as many others do), who provide us Photoshop layouts or html files. We expertly convert these into a WordPress [Genesis] ‘child theme’ for a website that is 100% unique. Two local graphic designers we’ve had great success with on joint projects is Emma from Synergy Design and Brett from The Brand Factory. Both have many years of design experience. For Social Media expertise we bring in Kent from Kiwise.
N.B. Good websites today require a mix of design, coding, SEO and content skills. With our own focus upon backend architecture and SEO, our best online work is always achieved when working closely with others, turning their knowledge, vision and/or files, into a stunning, interactive, Google-optimised website presence.
We always welcome the opportunity to work with skilled, NZ-based graphic designers and marketers.

p.s. WordPress BLOGs – Until the v3.0 release in mid 2010, WordPress was regarded as a blog-only platform. That’s changed now, with 92% of WordPress developers worldwide using WordPress for company websites, online magazines, video portals, membership sites, communities, even small eCommerce. However all the original user-friendly blogging functionality remains. And with the recent changes at Google with their search engine ‘freshness’ update, these blogging features is now critical for businesses – Read more here. See Speedy Signs and Embroidme examples above, which in this case run as separate entities from the main company websites that lack blogging functionality.
